Charles Liao is a certified personal trainer and an Arizona State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Wellness with over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry.
Growing up being involved in various martial arts as well as sports like water polo, wrestling, and volleyball, Charles realized he loves being active due to his competitive personality. Following his high school graduation, he immediately pursued assistant and head coaching positions for volleyball for high school teams and clubs. In light of how rewarding it was seeing others learn and improve, Charles realized he was meant to coach. He then went back to school to earn his degree in Exercise and Wellness to have the tools necessary to become a successful trainer. Since then he has worked as a personal trainer helping many individuals pursue goals like building muscle, losing weight, developing healthy eating habits, as well as building self-esteem.
Today he is an AFNA instructor and trains his clients out of Pasadena Strength and Conditioning located in Pasadena, CA. He also donates his time to mentor others who are interested in becoming personal trainers or in building marketing strategies for other trainers to help increase sales and improve client retention. Charles is currently teaching FNT 150: Group Exercise on Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 5pm – 9pm.
