Update to Reopening AFNA’s Pasadena Classroom

From Roger DeLaCruz, Campus Director.

Hello AFNA Students, Alumni, Faculty & Staff, and Friends of the School,

Remember from last week’s Newsletter, I informed you that I am following the LA County Department of Public Health’s Roadmap to Recovery to establish AFNA’s reopen date and guidelines. You may have heard on the news that Stage Two sectors like retail, manufacturing, House of Worship, and offices are permitted to reopen with the safety guidelines provided by the state and LA County.

Professional, technical and trade schools are in Stage Three of the Five Stage Roadmap to Recovery.  As of today, May 28, 2020 the Higher Education Sector which AFNA is a part of is not permitted to reopen.

I will continue to look for updates on a daily basis to Mayor Eric Garcetti’s “Safer at Home” Emergency Order and for the guidance document for the Higher Education Sector.  AFNA is  following the guidelines that will provided here: Safer LA: Toolkits for Businesses | COVID-19: Keeping Los Angeles Safe

Remember when we do return to the classroom, you may continue attending class online, in person, or a combination of online and in person.  Feel free to give me a call or send an email if you have any questions.
