On Campus Spotlight

From Tom Boland, President.

AFNA Campus Reopens June 22, 2020. COVID-19 Safety Protocols will be strictly adhered to.

The news keeps coming as hard and fast as a kettlebell swing thrust up from the hips! We are pleased to announce the reopening of our on-campus attendance option while at the same time encouraging any student who prefers online attendance to continue with that format. Our collective safety is a team effort: If you are feeling under the weather with any COVID-19 symptoms we ask that you remain at home and attend online.

Whether on-campus or online, all AFNA students have access to the same outstanding instruction and student services as we navigate changes to our industry together. Already we are learning that new opportunities are being created for qualified fitness trainers even as some smaller clubs and boutique fitness businesses are uncertain to emerge from the COVOD-19 crisis. One thing is certain: Fitness is more important than ever and Los Angeles remains the exercise capitol of the world!

Please look to Roger’s post in this newsletter about specific protocols we will be following for the on-campus reopening. And take a moment also to reflect on AFNA’s mission and know that your career choice remains on solid ground:

“The American Fitness and Nutrition Academy exists to educate and vocationally prepare a premiere workforce of fitness, nutrition, and allied healthcare practitioners, to support the employment efforts and business pursuits of these same practitioners, and to advance the nationally critical priority of health, fitness, and nutrition awareness through industry outreach and community education activities.”
